Privacy Considerations
Your report may result in internal inquiries, investigations by public authorities and other consequences. For this reason, you should only report what is true to the best of your knowledge. Personnel reporting suspected compliance violations in good faith will be protected and may not be disadvantaged in any way at Hexagon. The integrity of the reporting process is taken very seriously, and as such, information provided, and the reporter’s identity will be handled in confidentiality and only shared with the parties responsible for further examination of the report. However, the individuals accused of a compliance violation or government agencies may have legal rights to information which may require us to disclose your identity. This may be the case, if the individual affected by your report claims that the information is knowingly or negligently untrue and decides to file charges against the reporter.
If you decide to remain anonymous, you should take the following precautious measures:
- Do not submit information, by which you might be identified, such as your name or relationship to any individual mentioned in your report.
- Submit your report through a personal computer outside the Hexagon network.
- Make sure that the internet connection is secure, which is indicated by the lock symbol in your browser (in the upper or lower right corner).
